Brand Illustrations & Custom Icon Design: Visual Identity That Goes Beyond the Logo

Stock imagery gives every brand the same voice. Custom illustration gives yours its own.

Every brand using stock photography is, by definition, sharing a visual vocabulary with every other brand using the same stock library. The wellness brand that uses the same flatlay aesthetic as its three direct competitors. The food brand whose ingredient photography looks identical to a dozen other brands in its category. The D2C brand whose lifestyle imagery could belong to any brand in the D2C space.

Custom illustration is the escape from that sameness. It is the visual layer that is exclusively and irrevocably yours — because it was designed for your brand, from your brand strategy, by people who understand what your brand needs to communicate and how your consumer needs to feel.

Brand mascot design

A well-designed brand mascot is one of the most powerful brand assets available to a consumer brand. When the mascot becomes synonymous with the brand — the Amul girl, the Ching's Secret chef, the Desi Cow — it carries brand recognition through contexts and channels that a logo alone cannot enter. It becomes a communication tool, a personality embodiment and a recognition device simultaneously.

We design brand mascots from the brand strategy — not from generic character libraries. The mascot's visual style, proportions, expression range and personality are defined by your brand's positioning and your consumer's cultural context. A mascot designed for a premium Ayurvedic brand looks and moves differently from a mascot designed for a playful kids snacking brand. Both are intentional. Neither is generic.

Custom icon systems

Icons appear across your brand in contexts that require clarity, consistency and brand personality simultaneously: packaging claims icons, website feature icons, product benefit callouts, ingredient indicators, app UI elements, infographics. Generic icon libraries produce visual inconsistency — the icons feel borrowed rather than owned. A custom icon system produces icons that are recognisably part of your brand's visual language, consistent in style and weight, and appropriate for every context they appear in.

We design icon systems at multiple weights and scales, tested in the applications they will be used in, and delivered as SVG for scaleable application across all digital and print contexts.

Packaging illustration

For brands in food, beverage, wellness and lifestyle categories, packaging illustration is often the single most differentiating visual element on shelf. When every competitor is using product photography, an illustrated packaging design stands out through sheer visual distinctiveness. When the category is already illustrated, the quality, style and originality of the illustration determines which brand the consumer's eye finds most compelling.

We design packaging illustrations that are intentional in style — not generic botanical, not stock-adjacent floral, not trend-led doodle. The illustration style is derived from the brand's creative direction and designed to be distinctive in the category the brand operates in.

Illustration style guides

For brands that will continue to produce illustrated content beyond the initial identity project — social media, packaging extensions, campaign materials, editorial — we develop an illustration style guide that defines the visual rules any illustrator must follow to produce on-brand work. Line weight, colour application, subject matter, level of detail, proportion conventions, cultural reference boundaries. The style guide ensures that illustrated content produced by different hands over time remains cohesive and on-brand.

Give your brand a visual voice that is entirely its own. Let's design illustrations and icons that could only be yours.
